Why Do People Buy And Wear Those Things? Buxom Amplified Lash Mascara by Pure Escentuals…Social Consciousness Done Right.

As of right now, Buxom Amplified Lash mascara is my HG of mascaras. I’ve tried plenty of mascaras in my lifetime. I’ve seen plenty of brushes. Whether it’s the two-timing brush or the formulation that Bare Escentuals has created for their Amplified Lash, it definitely works.
My lashes are shorter since I’ve become older. It’s a fact of life. But there are also others that may have reasons for shorter lashes and Buxom Amplified Lash Mascara may just fit the bill for them, too.

I have to use a really good mascara that creates volume. And I have rules that my mascara must adhere to. Especially if I’m going to pay $22 for it. It had better perform for what it cost me.

I want the wand to be the right size and have the correct bristles so that I don’t have to constantly use a q-tip to clean away the black drops that didn’t quite make it to my lashes. You’ve seen those mascara wands that are so full you figure they’re going to make your lashes absolutely voluminous by the time you coat them. But all you wind up doing is painting your lashes black and leaving little black dots under and above your eyes, also. That’s an incorrect amount of bristles. It’s an illusion.

Buxom has that covered with this mascara. You have a choice. You can twist the end of the brush to extend it to a full position for volume and thickness. One or two swipes coats my lashes with layers and just enough darkness for my fair eyes. Twist the wand back down into the compact position for lengthening and defining. Some short sweeps across your lashes and you’re done. How simple is that? No clumping, either. I’m not perfect, I have my q-tips handy. I mess up. Just remember to roll the q-tip in a circle against the black dot you’re erasing and don’t try to smudge or erase it. You’ll be easier on your under-eye area.

The formula is creamy, not runny, not clumpy at all. It’s a rich, dark black that highlights your eyes beautifully. It dries quick enough. The waiting time is hardly noticeable and besides, I put my coats on immediately after each other.

In between the two first coats I use a lash curler and my lashes are the best they’ve been in a long, long time. I used to be a fan of Clinique’s High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara but that doesn’t come close to Buxom’s Amplified Lash. I’m delighted that the brush works on both my upper and lower lashes without a problem. Clinique came out with their Bottom Lash Mascara Long Wearing Formula which is a tiny brush formulated for the lower lashes, designed for ease and I did try that but I found it  more of a gimmick and a waste of a ten-dollar bill.

I’ve had no problems at all with this brush on my lower lashes. As far as all day wear, it stays in place without smudging or flaking. When the day is over, it’s easy to remove with my normal skin care routine. I don’t have to use any special makeup remover to get all of it off. It washes off easily, which is a plus in saving your lashes. All in all, it’s worth every penny. Also, cruelty-free.

Here’s the delightful part about Bare Escentuals. You can feel good about supporting their company while you’re making yourself look beautiful.  The Bare Escentuals story goes on …

“How do you DEFINE a brand that’s based on a feeling?

Love. Understanding. Community. That’s what Bare Escentuals represents. It’s a trusted source. It’s the belief that products can actually be good, makeup can be fun, business can be personal and companies can behave more like communities.

It’s an optimistic outlook shared by women everywhere who believe that while makeup can’t change the world, it can change people. And people who are inspired can make all the difference.

It began when we asked women to imagine a makeup that would actually change the way they feel about their skin and themselves. We encouraged women to take a leap and try something so unique, so unlike anything they’ve experienced before. We started the idea that makeup could actually be considered skincare, and we got people talking. A makeup that could be good for you? The Bare Escentuals community was born. We became friends with our customers, forging deep, personal connections simply by listening and sharing stories.

It became less about makeup and more about what really matters.”*http://www.bareescentuals.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BareEscentuals-Site/default/Experience-Show?cgid=BE_STORY.

They really do believe what they say. Not only is Bare Escentuals cruelty-free, they also demand that their suppliers and supply chains are free from human trafficking and slavery. Committed to being responsible in their global business practices they require their suppliers to confirm in writing and regularly visit suppliers factories to assess and inspect factory conditions  to certify that all goods are manufactured in compliance with the wage and hour, slavery and human trafficking laws of the country of manufacture and without the use of children or prison, indentured, exploited, bonded, forced or slave labor.

This is a cosmetic and skin care company that I support without knowing they looking towards a better world. For more information on social compliance see http://www.bareescentuals.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BareEscentuals-Site/default/CustService-CaliforniaLaw.
