Deals Steals And Thrills!  Winter brings a particular feeling to the pit of our stomachs when we open our closets. Depending on the weather outside, I know my feelings go from exuberant to downright grumpy in a nanosecond.

One quick fix to this swing of fashion emotion is to know where the deals are, how to steal them and thrill others when they see you, the fashionista walking towards them. Easier to do than you believe if you believe in yourself, because confidence is key where fashion is concerned.

One of the easiest ways to brighten my day on the cloudiest days of winter is to take a new piece of clothing, even if it’s for the spring and incorporate it right into my wardrobe. I can layer it with a sweater, a jacket, leggings or jeggings. Whatever the occasion calls for, I’m always ready.

Want to wear a piece of clothing with a designer label that won’t cost your paycheck? Like to be different? Wear what almost no one else can own? Here’s how to do it with fun and not feel guilty at all.

Target, one of the nation’s largest retailing companies, announced a  major promotion, due to hit their stores March 13th-23rd of 2011. So far, 17 fashion-forward designers have signed on to design their hot new approaches for Target alone since 2006, called GO International. The designers are Zac Posen, Paul & Joe,Thakoon Panichguls, Tracy Feith, Tara Jarmon, Jonathan Saunders, Alice Temperley, Luella Bartley, Behnaz Sarafpour, Libertine, Erin Fetherston, Richard Chai, Tucker, Rogan, Jovovich-Hawk, Proenza Schouler and Rodarte.

From all of their looks, 34 of the designs from 17 designers will be created for this promotion.  These garments are signed by the designers labels, which means that their wearability is excellent. No future, up and coming or current designer is going to put their name on any garment or accessory if they know it’s going to fall apart in the washer or on a night out on the town. Their name is at stake. Hollywood buys their clothing.

But here’s the deal. So can you. The prices are very reasonable and the looks? Ebay has listings for the Target designers clothing that is out-of-stock already. The listings aren’t in every size, nor are they for every piece marketed by every designer for Target.  Because once it’s gone, it’s gone. And it goes quick.

Fashions from the GO International Target Collection have been known to be quirky admittedly. So are runway collections. But take one piece at a time. Use it as a statement piece.  Build around it. Make that one piece the highlight of your outfit. Now you’re a recessionista  with confidence!

The entire collection, dubbed the “Designer Collective”, will only be in stores for a month and debut March 23rd online also. This time around, it’s not a safe bet to wait around for the sale rack. The GO International Collection has been popular before and is being hyped big. It’s a sure sell-out, but a guaranteed steal, deal and thrill for you!

Peace.

  1. This is a very informative article. The fact that you gave that bit of advise on buying that one peice of clothing and building around it followed by information on how, when, and where to buy it. in addition, you provided the reader other related articles.

Your article was very credible by the mention the designers participating in GO International Target Collection. You also created a level of excitement with your choice of words for example steal, deal and thrill.

    Im impressed. Nice job…
